Jildiz Nicharapova holds a Doctoral degree in Political Science from the Institute of Political Science (Sciences Po) Aix-en-Provence, University of Aix-Marseille, France. She is currently a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the George Washington University, Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies, in 2026-2027. Since 2023, she has served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). Nicharapova has been an invited professor at several universities across Europe: the University of Normandy in Le Havre, France (2018 and 2024); the University of Kazimierz Wielki, Poland (2018); Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg, Germany (2018); and Mazovia Academy in Płock, Poland (2024). She served as an Associate Professor at Kyrgyz National University from 2009 to 2018, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic from 2012 to 2015, and the International University of Kyrgyzstan from 2022 to 2024. Nicharapova has co-authored multiple books: Chabal, Pierre, Jildiz Nicharapova, Kuralay Baizakova. 2019. “Cross-border Exchanges: Eurasian Perspectives on Diplomacy and Logistics”. She has authored more than forty articles and book chapters in journals and edited volumes across Europe, Latin America, the United States, and the CIS. Her main research focuses are: SCO, BRI, EAEU, China-Kyrgyzstan relations, Russia and China in Central Asia, and Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign policy.
