About the role
The Pivot Academic is an independent international research platform (operations hub in Hong Kong). We commission research-based reports on how Western governments, NGOs and media approach major issues in China and Asia policy. Specific topics are provided in writing at the trial stage. Reports use verified facts and primary sources; author analysis stays around 10%. Bylined by default; generative AI not allowed. Fully remote and asynchronous; no meetings. Looking for graduate students, early-career researchers and independent scholars in IR, public policy, human rights, international law or political science (master’s and PhD preferred). Paid trial USD 300–500 (~1 week); payment method details provided in writing before the trial.
