What we check before an institution joins the directory
Every entry is screened against the same five essentials and five indicators, by hand, from the institution’s own website and public record. The form takes about five minutes; the screening can take a few weeks. Your name and email are never published.
A China focus
China, or Chinese actors abroad, is what the institution studies, teaches or documents, not one topic among many.
Work we can see
Recent publications, named staff, a course, a recurring event: anything on its website that shows it is active.
A place and a website
The directory covers institutions that study China from outside it. A country, a city and the website are enough for us to start checking.
